Please don't ask us to compare to our NC500 MKII amp. Yes the NC1200 is better in every way, but then our NC500 MKII is exceptional. They are distinctly different priced amps if you want the best and can afford the NC1200, its the amp to choose.

Without the expensive infrastructure of distributors , dealers, Reps, advertising, shows and other expense we can bring you this exalted amplifier at a reasonable cost.

 

Using Hypex NC1200 modules powered by Hypex SMPS1200A700 PSU's and optional bespoke Class A Nord Buffer designed specifically for the NC1200 and housed in our SE case work.

The Signature amp is packed with high end components from mains inlet to the speaker binding posts.

The SE 1200 is the uses the same 3 main modules but the connectors, wire, binding posts, IEC inlet etc are same spec as the NC500 MKII.

 

The standard NC1200 uses the onboard buffers powered by Hypex HxR Voltage regulators. Optionally upgrade to our NC1200 REV A Class A Input buffer board using two Op Amps per channel and runs even further into Class A delivering up to 250mA of Class A current fed into the Hypex NC1200 module. The result is more tonal depth, dramatic improvement in bass, even greater depth of soundstage, slightly more detail all wrapped in a balance of rich texture and harmonics, bottom-end presence , amazing dynamics, exquisite resolution in the mids and upper frequencies, and a fully revealed, fully dimensional sound stage  Headroom and listening volumes have increased and all combine in a totally musical non fatiguing Class A sound. Furutech's beautifully finished top of the range and just as importantly beautiful sounding XLR sockets are the result of meticulous engineering and careful audition of various materials. The FT-786F features a Rhodium conductor for minimal impedance set in a super heat resistant liquid crystal polymer resin and a nonresonant nylon/fiberglass housing containing Furutech' s Piezo Ceramic Damping Material. Unique to Furutech FT-786F and FT-785M XLR sockets are special nonmagnetic stainless steel plates that are incorporated into the piezo compound construction using a special Furutech patent-pending process. The soul of the new top of the range binding post WBT-0705 is a one-piece design, removing all unnecessary transition  resistance. The signal conductor solid Silver (Copper version available no cost option leave note in checkout) is embedded in a matrix of fibre glass and mineral reinforced plastic and equipped with an anti-magnetic stainless steel strut for perfect strain relief. An additional elastomer damping ring keeps oscillations away from the contact level and successfully suppresses any kind of contact microphonics resistance.

The Furutech Nano-OFC power cord uses one of the finest conductors their engineers have designed the Alpha Nano OFC. They combined their legendary Alpha-OFC conductors, which are treated cryogenically and demagnetized in a patented two-step process, with a new transmission enhancer known as Nano Liquid. The molecules in Nano Liquid are so small (approximately 8 nanometers in diameter, or 8/1,000,000th of a millimeter) that they finely “coat” the Alpha-OFC and smooth out all microscopic surface irregularities that can affect both signal transfer and impedance. That means, quite simply, that there is a greater contact area for the conductor. 

Nano Liquid is created by precisely mixing super-micro particles made of both gold and silver, along with a dispersion of Squalene oil. The engineers at Furutech found that they could affect the ultimate sound quality by carefully varying the ratios of the gold, silver and oil. After many extensive tests, the engineers agreed upon the ratio now used in our Nano Liquid. In essence, they “tuned” the Nano Liquid until they arrived at a balanced, musical sound a sound that could only be the result of the purest transmission of AC power.

The UP OCC process for refining copper was developed and patented by Professor Ohno of the Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan. The licensed to use this manufacturing process is incredibly popular for the production of wire and cable products for the audio/video industry. UP OCC stands for Ultra-Pure, Ohno Continuous Casting. In conventional processing, hot molten copper is poured into a cooled mold for extrusion, resulting in multiple, fractionated crystal structure. While the copper may be "pure" in the sense of measuring gas impurities in the copper in comparison to standard copper refining techniques. Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) has undesirable effects that lead many to use more expensive materials such as silver for their conductive strands. As developed for A/V cable use, the OCC process utilizes a heated mold for casting and extruding, with cooling taking place in a separate process. The result is a larger crystal size and increased purity that approaches the 6N, 99.9998%! Looking at it another way, traditional copper has oxygen impurities of 200 to 500 parts per million (PPM), while traditional OFC copper reduces that to less than 10 PPM. With the OCC process, the figure is cut in half to less than 5 PPM of oxygen, and less than 0.25 PPM of hydrogen (compared to 0.5 PPM for OFC). With these results, the OCC process creates "ultra-pure" copper. The benefits of UP-OCC are as following: • A true unidirectional copper crystal that is as free from impurities as possible to prevent corrosion • Flexibility and fatigue resistance without impairing conductive characteristics • Low electrical resistance • Rapid signal transmission • Corrosive-resistant • Non-crystal boundaries
